Interchangeable Flower Clip/Pin

As I have mentioned before, I am taking part in the Show Us Your Plum Contest over at Cherished Bliss. I was so happy to be chosen by Ashley to receive an item from Pick Your Plum. I had no idea what I would be receiving. All I knew was it was a Pick Your Plum item which I was receiving to craft and blog about. {I just love a good surprise, don't you?}

My package soon arrived and I was so excited to find this set of lovelies to transform!

Interchangeable Flower Clip/Pin

What you will need:
  • metal clip/pin from Pick Your Plum  {it's the silver one shown above}
  • small amount of yarn in your fave colors
  • some of your fave accessory patterns {I used the following: Mother's Day Flower (you have to sign up to Lionbrand to see it - it's the 2nd one), Rosette & Small Flower (I followed the pattern using an I hook)}
  • a button or other embellishment for the center of your flowers {optional}
  • round magnets {I got mine at Walmart}
  • hot glue and hot glue gun
What to do:
  • crochet some flowers/accessories from the pattern in a few of your fave colors
  • hot glue your embellishment in the middle
  • hot glue a round magnet to the back
  • repeat with all other flowers
  • choose one that matches your outfit and snap it into the center {not sure what it's called when a magnet attaches...snap seems appropriate}

  • change your flower as many times as you'd like
  • pin it to a jacket, scarf, bag or wear it in your hair!
 {my beautiful sister was my model for this}

Put the clip in your hair and pick your flower!

It's a pin too!

How fun is that?!

Have you been crafty with a Pick Your Plum item? You join the contest too!

You may find me at some of these lovely link parties.

Guess what else?! I entered this project in the Creative Bloggers Got Talent contest! I'd love your vote if you have a sec. It's #73! Thanks a bunch!

3 friend(s) had something to say::

  1. Now that is clever thinking!! I love that you used magnets so that you can change them out whenever your mood strikes or the outfit calls for it! Great job girl!! :) So glad you linked up with us!!
